Do not be deceived by the fact that the SAVE bill was "introduced by Rep. Heath Shuler." I am running for the nomination to take the NC 11th District back from him. Shuler admitted at a reception for the Sheriff in Macon County (where I live) that his bill "will never get out of committee."

The reason Shuler's bill is going nowhere is his first vote cast. He voted for Nancy Pelosi for Speaker, and she's not about to let his bill get out of committee, much less get a floor vote.

Shuler is just pretending to be a conservative, in order to trick the folks around here into letting him stay in Congress. I believe I can prevent that outcome.
