They do that most of the time if it’s a hot, political topic.
It’s the poster of a particular video who determines whether or not to enable comments. I assume that posters who disable comments probably don’t want to spend their time monitoring and responding to the food fights that may break out over controversial videos.
I had to delete a lot of them when I had a video of Charlie Daniels there for awhile. The left can't stand Charlie Daniels.
I believe whoever posts the video is allowed to select whether to allow comments or not. I am sure YouTube can do that too, but it is most likely a user choice.
Youtube needs to spin off a “politube” or something.
Yeah, the comments tend to get out of hand on anything political.
Yahoo couldn’t monitor its message boards close enough for violations of its rules, or for false reports of rules violations, so they just shut them all down.
