I knew a woman years ago that dodged a cat, hit a pole and has walked with a cane since her mid 20s due to the crash.
I learned early on driving a bike, hold tight and hit it. Chances are the 800+lbs of bike+rider will win against a 50lb or less animal.
A none to bright revisionist is what you yourself are, sunshine.

Of course you didn’t WANT to. It’s not like you swerved in order TO hit him, if it were safe to miss him, you would have.
the kid was lucky he did not kill himself
I would rather run into a deer any day than a tree.
Most insurance companies forgive hitting deer and will not raise your rates. (my hubby has hit 3 over the last 4 years without our rates going up - about 4k worth of damage to the truck each time - the deer pop is high here)
Now if he would have swerved to miss the deer and hit something else our rates would have went up “if” he survived the impact with a tree.
Always hit the animal and never swerve
I’m a Christian. The Catholic Church did not only stand against heresy, they put heretics to death! That’s an inconvenient little fact. Wow, the Catholics are getting hostile. I bet if given the chance, would you even try me and break me on the wheel.
But the diction was very good.
Uh, yeh, Catholic.com!
“Keep your nerve and never swerve”
I’ve hit three deer over the years, they all died.
On the other hand, I was able to drive myself to the repair shop each time.
That article doesn’t do much to support your earlier statement.
“So it was that Galileo’s spiteful manner, his knack for turning even his best friends into enemies, repeatedly got him in trouble. “
In summation, it was Galileo’s fault that the Church threatened him.
It’s everybody elses fault.
Sounds a lot like a President we recently had.
Come to think of it, it sounds a lot like a Presidential canididate we now have.
Oh I see, because Galileo was abrasive and because he believed in something “not supported by the facts” he got himself into hot water. Oh now I understand, he had it coming to him. Thanks for clearing that up.
Absolutely...sometimes I think I am a magnet for depressed and suicidal wildlife. I have hit a couple deers (and one tried to jump over my husband's Focus, but it clipped the passenger door, broke the window and dented the roof...that was an interesting claim)...but we have never had our rates go up. Stay on the road...as long as you brake, you're bigger than the deer.
My hubby’s truck was driveable also each time.
Each time the truck hood, both quarter panels, full grill, front bumper, and at least 1 head light had to be replaced, then every thing replaced had to be painted.
And what about Copernicus?
Oh please. Quit being so histrionic.
Oh please! Quit being so historic.

There’s no reason to get rid of the trial of Galileo. Galileo was challenging the common scientific understanding held by both protestants and Catholics. For that, and for essentially preaching without license he got into trouble with the inquisition in 1616. Too bad. Sometimes bad things happen even to good people.
Also, in case you didn’t know, Galileo lived in the 17th century. That was 600 years AFTER the so-called ‘Dark Ages’ ended.
Try again.
