An anonymous reader writes
"We've known for ages that IPv4 was going to run out of addresses now, it's happening. IPv6 was going to save us it isn't. The upcoming crisis will hit, perhaps as soon as 2010, but nobody can agree on what to do. The three options are all pretty scary. This article covers the background, and links to a presentation by Randy Bush (PDF) that shows the reality of the problem in stark detail."

Geezer Geek ping.
This is a very low-volume ping list (typically days to weeks between pings).
FReepmail sionnsar if you want on or off this list.

These sorts of claims have been around since the 1990s. None of them have ever come to pass.
See IPv4 - How long have we got? (written 5 years ago...the last time these claims of imminent IPv4 address exhaustion were kicked up).
As the author of the piece mentions, "Predicting the future is easy. The hard bit is getting it right."

NAT nets will save us. NAT nets have staved off the crisis so far, but it was an expedient all along.

NATs are good, but the real problem are all the Class-A nets that were assigned freely in the early years and are now sparsely populated.
The simplest solution is to make better use of the IPv4 we have.
