Obama's Optimism

When I first heard about the rising phenomenon of Senator Barack Obama, I didn't think too much about it. It is a story that you hear in one form or another every four years: the vibrant new Democrat who appeals to young audiences with lofty rhetoric about empowerment and hope. To be honest, I dismissed the whole thing as another short-lived pop phenomenon for the kiddies to write about in their MySpace pages.

Obviously, Obama's success over the past few weeks forced me to reassess this conclusion. Always willing to admit when I am wrong, I decided to read the press reports and find out what was actually powering Obama towards his party's nomination. Sure enough, there was a common theme in all the media accounts: Obama is winning with his powerful message of optimism.

Unfortunately, the reports were not very clear as to what Obama's optimistic message actually is. Finding out required a few hours downloading YouTube files and playing with my new video editing software. (To be honest, this whole project was mostly an excuse to do the latter.) In the end, though, I think I managed to piece together Obama's inspiring vision of America.

Difficult to get through this pile of garbage, POS video without a barf bag. “Crumbling schools”? “Lost homes”? I must live in a vacuum because I never see ANY of this unless I take a wrong turn onto ANY MLK Blvd in America. LBJ’s “Great Society” neighborhoods.

...and he said it in 1927. Can’t say I have a lot of respect for Norman but he knew what would happen. Just my luck that I had to be in my prime when it happens. Sometimes I wish I were 90.

That’s why I watched the garbage in the first place. The entire video is one sound bit after another on how horrible this country is...apparently the O thinks the same of this country as his wife.

Hey, what are you Democrat-Socailists going to do when Atlas Shrugs? When we refuse to keep working so you can sit home (in front of your crumbling homes..sniff, sniff) and get one government handout after another (aka: Obama's vote buying)?

The government does not generate an income it TAKES it and the producers of this GREAT nation just may say no to socialism (We the People still have a second amendment)

That’s why it needs to be watched by every Conservative.

Just as I was literaly getting sick to my stomach listening to Candyman speak the other night (tax the rich, feed the poor, health care for everyone, etc.) it is important to see what this guy sees as the future for our country.
