I hereby award you "The Sweet-Tooth badge of courage."
...and I do hope you purchased some boxes from your daughters "for later consumption" of course. ;-)
My husband and I are both converts, too. I was 26 and he was 30.
Rock on! I thought my wife and I were the only ones ;-)
Cheers!
“”Conservatives” think that apparently exemplary parents shouldn’t have a large family, because then they pay less in taxes than they would if they had fewer children ...”
I guess I’m having a hard time getting the point across that “subsidizing” someone means your tax dollars are going to that person.
Our tax dollars are going to welfare recipients -not to the Duggars.
while it is true the Duggars get a tax break - they still aren’t collecting welfare.
I’m still willing to bet they belong in a higher tax bracket than the average bear and still pay more taxes than the average bear.
“I’m feeling pretty good about my soul,”
Are you SURE???
Michelle Obama says our souls are broken and need fixin’
Over the last couple of days it looks like we got about 3-4 inches.
I’m just ready for this cycle to break already...a few warm days followed by ice - then snow -then bitter cold. Then it warms again - everything melts and we start all over.
“Poor daughter. Poor grandkids.”
If they don’t change the set-up everyone is living in, then there’s going to be another set of triplets next year.
Clearly - on top of the all the other troubles this girl has...she is releasing several eggs each time she ovulates.
Throwing money at those folks is only going to ensure the population keeps growing in that house..
Pamela’s mother, who cleans houses to support her daughter and rapidly increasing number of grandchildren, says they will now seek more assistance from the government for the new additions to the family.
Some Argentines are arguing that perhaps what Pamela needs is more advice on contraception.
No, it's the sax.
For one thing, the Duggars have a “debt-free” lifestyle, which means they have no mortgage interest deduction. It wouldn’t surprise me if they refused to deduct their church tithes and offerings - a number of strict Protestants do. And they have quite a good income, work very hard. Jim Bob and Michelle are both real estate brokers, and they have investment properties, and some of the children have businesses. As well as the TV contract!
More to the point, they’re no more responsible for the income tax system than you or I, or somebody with no children. Why should they (or we) be expected to order the most important decisions of our lives toward paying MORE taxes? I’d like to see anyone honestly say he makes ANY decisions with the goal of paying more taxes!
As I was saying to Mrs. Don-o, socialism (even to the extent we have it in the U.S.) turns what should be free citizens and Christian neighbors into slaves competing for favors and handouts from Massa. It’s evil.
It's been like that here, too. Our cold days are in the 40's (rain, no snow), but when it warms up, it's still too muddy for the little boys to go to the playground.
I bought cookies from all three of my girls - and the kids have eaten them already. I’ll have to find a “hoarder” through the GS Leaders’ email list after Easter, to get some Tagalongs!
It’s an argument I’m not used to seeing on a conservative forum..it’s almost like people shouldn’t have kids because it isn’t fair to those who don’t have kids.
People who have kids pay less to the government, creating resentment among the child-less.
OK...so everyone quit having kids so everything can become “fair” - and let’s see how long it takes for the whole economy and social structure to collapse.
Need a template?
Just watch what happens in China over the next 2 decades.
As long as the government is footing the bill for all of these kids (i.e. new house, etc.), yes, this 16 year old will have no motivation to stop having babies! Very sad situation. :-(
LOL Yiddische... FR ist mit A.K. voll...
Going to be ugly. India has an even worse issue with too few girls being born. Japan, Europe, Russia ...
Its an argument Im not used to seeing on a conservative forum
It turns up in a number of different forms. People rail against someone they think it "taking their money" - people with children, immigrants, AIDS patients - and forget that the real culprit is the government. The government *they* elected.
More likely, advice on how to avoid rape.
Pamela is still a minor child at 16, so her role for the last 3 or 4 years is that of a victim of statutory rape. At least. And her mama has evidently not done much to help her fend off the males’ advances.
