Better a Boeing plane in this instance, if my memory that Airbus planes can’t dump fuel is correct. (Stated by some FReeper, and I hope he isn’t correct!)

Emergency crews ready for landing
Jet due to arrive at 11:30 a.m.
By SUN Staff
Emergency crews are on standby at the Ottawa Airport this morning as they await for a First Air Jet to arrive.
The jet’s crew alerted officials that it is experiencing a loss of brakes. It was due to land at the airport at 11 a.m. but that has been delayed by 30 minutes as the plane dumps excess fuel.
An airport spokesman initially said the landing is being characterized as an “emergency” landing.
However, a First Air spokesman said the situation is being downgraded but could not provide more details.
More than half a dozen ambulances are at the airport as are fire officials. An OC Transpo bus is also on scene in case needed.
Check Ottawasun.com for more details as they develop.

pretty sure 737s cannot dump fuel, just fly to burn it off.
I believe 757s CAN dump fuel

They have reverse thrust and having no brakes will not be to much of a problem.

Not true, one Airbus did dump fuel. Matter of fact it dumped all of its fuel through a leak in one of the engines. It has the longest glide record for an airliner.
