Federal immigration officials are assisting the State Patrol's investigation of the crash and are looking into Morales' background, according to Tim Counts, local spokesman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Morales' arrest will help authorities determine her status with fingerprints and other information. "Now that she's actually in someone's custody, that will facilitate our procedures," Counts said.

My bet is she is in this country illegally...hence no driver's license. If she is an illegal, it then begs the question why when she was arrested for driving without a license in 2006 was she was not turned over to ICE for deportation?

If it extends to where she lived then the Mayor and city council should be looked at as criminally liable or something of a “enabler.”

My brother is a truck driver who picks up loads there often. Says it's all illegals working there.

We need to organize huge demonstrations at these kinds of places and get the attention of ICE.
