WTH he was thinking about, I do not know.
We could have actually used a friendly Serbia as a counterweight to the EU and its rush to whatever it is becoming.
The leader of Romania has called the declaration of the independence of Kosovo an illegal act.
“if it is used as justification for war”
We don’t go to ‘war’ anymore.

"irredentism"
Irredentism is any position advocating annexation of territories administered by another state on the grounds of common ethnicity and/or prior historical possession, actual or alleged. Some of these movements are also called pan movements.
New word for the day. And what a coencidence, my name is also Dennis.
Hey Ranger Dennis! Here’s another good word for the contentious Balkans — “revanchist”

Death to "international" law!
When is the State Dept. going to recognize the Confederacy?
It is you who is selling out America by supporting our enemies.
I for one will not support allowing one drop of any male member of my family to be spilt establishing a Muslim state in Europe.
The Confederacy has been dead for well over a century and good riddance.
From Orwell
"England is perhaps the only great country whose intellectuals are ashamed of their own nationality. In left-wing circles it is always felt that there is something slightly disgraceful in being an Englishman and that it is a duty to snigger at every English institution, from horse racing to suet puddings. It is a strange fact, but it is unquestionably true that almost any English intellectual would feel more ashamed of standing to attention during God save the King than of stealing from a poor box. All through the critical years many left-wingers were chipping away at English morale, trying to spread an outlook that was sometimes squashily pacifist, sometimes violently pro-Russian, but always anti-British. It is questionable how much effect this had, but it certainly had some. If the English people suffered for several years a real weakening of morale, so that the Fascist nations judged that they were decadent and that it was safe to plunge into war, the intellectual sabotage from the Left was partly responsible."
I live overseas and so I can tell you exactly how America is seen.
Americans quite clearly are seen as weak and divided. It is this type of disgraceful behavior that is acting to embolden our enemies abroad and from where I sit, I see quite clearly how it will contribute and act as a catalyst for extremism.
We need to ask ourselves why in the hell are we allowing our leaders to continue accommodating and appeasing Islamic fundamentalism around the world.
Have Americans even a shred of dignity left?
I am ashamed of my government for recognizing this breakaway province. Russia has every right to intervene.
I’m glad that our national anthem is not “God save the King”.
“The Confederacy has been dead for well over a century and good riddance.”
And good ridance to McCain as well, Smartass.
