Also in the article:

They say the declaration violates international law.”

Actually, it does violate international law, at least according to the UN.

Of course, dating it to 1999, in part buys into the lies that got us here in the first place.

The Orthodox Christian Serbs of Kosovo have been being attacked by Albanians long before that. The Albanians in Kosovo joined with the Nazis and Ustashe in the persecution of Serbs, and even before that: a poster on another thread recalled that the Ottoman Sultan had to issue a ban on Albanian attacks on Christians, as it was hurting the tax-base for the jizya.

And in the interim: look at NYTimes archives from the 1980’s. Lots of stories about Albanian harrassment of Serbs.

All that happened in the 1990’s was the Serbs tried to fight back, only to have the West intervene on behalf of the terrorists and criminals.
