The guy, Jesus Christ, was in a state of perpetual prayer, fasting and optimal spiritual maturity and responsibility, the likes of which we carnal Christians cannot easily attain. Consequently, we have to watch our associations and not go alone into the “way of sinners” or the “congregation of the unrighteous”. We go in thinking we’ll be a good influence on them if we aren’t careful, but before we know it we quickly pick up their bad habits.
