The guy, Jesus Christ, was in a state of perpetual prayer, fasting and optimal spiritual maturity and responsibility, the likes of which we carnal Christians cannot easily attain. Consequently, we have to watch our associations and not go alone into the “way of sinners” or the “congregation of the unrighteous”. We go in thinking we’ll be a good influence on them if we aren’t careful, but before we know it we quickly pick up their bad habits. Sorry, the girls at places like Hooters accentuate those breasts, and that causes the well-intentioned, tolerant man or borderline lesbian to lust in their hearts or worse.
I hear you, Twinkie, but what about the beach or the pool or a ballet or a Hollywood movie? All of them have attractive women in various states of undress etc. The trick for a man is not to let his eyes or thoughts lie where they shouldn’t . . . you can’t help looking but you don’t have to stare.
Jesus also ate a lot. There are almost as many passages about him “sitting down to supper” as there are of Him praying.
