Expect many in the following days. The map is a mess they are going off allover the region. At the time of the Loma Prieta quake my house was 2.5 miles form the epicenter. We had serious aftershocks for days. BTW everyone in the area should try to be as EQ safe a possible for the next week or so. If you have an RV or the like go sleep in it. There is a small chance that this was a foreshock. Even though the fault is not indicated as one that could make a bigger quake it is still possible it could. At the very least sleep with you clothes on and warm gear within reach. flashlight and NO candles.
I’m sure the Utah state legislature is working hard to tax it. $2 billion surplus and all they can do is cry poor and connive to raise taxes. Worst RINO state in the union.
That’s great advice! Thanks!
Geez, I spent the first 6 weeks of this year working at the new power plant in Dunphy, NV. Stayed in Elko the first 4 weeks and the last two in Battle Mountain.
Ill have to contact the guys from the plant and see if there was any damage.
I haven't been to Nevada for a few years and what with all the Oceans rising from Global warning and all, I just wanted to make sure.
Thanks for the map.
Soon to be Wells by the Sea...

Pot holes are common place in a whole lotta places after this hard winter.
I saw a news story on potholes and they said hitting them is like a 30 mph collission on the under side of your rigs equipment.
So repetive pot hole hitting can do a lot of damage.
Naw, it’ll be Sacramento by the sea, then Reno by the sea, then Winnemucca by the sea, then Wells by the sea.
Thank You all who are posting pics and reports from the area.
The Lobbyist? Is that the rumor about McCain having an affair and there is not one shred of proof just pure hear say?
Proof? Proof? They don't need no stinkin' proof...
That scary if you thing it hitting some place like Portland Oregon who still has the many of the old brick buildings much like the ones that were destroyed in the San Fran 1906 quake.
I am not certain about the window for Portland but I know from attending Marine Sci lectures at HMSC OSU that here on the Oregon Coast we are in the 200yr window for a huge quake based on soil studies here in the bay that shows a trend for a huge quake everey 300 to 500 yrs. It has been just over 300 yrs.
All these years I never had any reason to look at your homepage.
Reason I did was to see that yah you do live in Nevada.
But here is the clencher having never had a reason to check it out I now know not to woman to woman speak to ya...lol.

This map verifies your take, dragnet. It shows nothing >5.0 in eastern Nevada since the 1700s. Of course, that's not to say that area isn't a lot less evaluated than points west.
How are you doing tonight?
