Interesting points... thanks.

Cindy sure didn’t look like the poor little housewife this morning. She looked confident, well composed and almost well... perky.

This is about more than just this election cycle. Have a parent explain it to you.

I forgot the obvious apologist mantra: “It’s only sex—Clinton did it.”

After posting that, I saw all of the talking-head apologists lined up. Bob Bennett and his brother Bill, Brent Bozell, and Pat Buchanan—all simultaneously singing from the same song book saying this would cause conservatives to firmly get behind McCain and support him. Campaigns are getting so transparent—nothing but a bunch of pre-determined, rehearsed talking points to herd the sheep.

You preach, I’ll sing. The only part I don’t get is that McCain expected a different result. He can’t be that naive.

There is a HUGE difference between these allegations against McCain and the 2003 allegations against gubernatorial candidate Schwarzenegger.
i.e. photos of Schwarzenegger penetrating random women had been floating around for over 10 years on the internet (in bodybuilding and celeb gossip newsgroups and the like) when the mass media made it a story in 2003.

McCain has a more serious problem here, this allegation is just a warning shot, opening salvo and a segue into the other characters that surround McCain and Iseman, specifically the massive special interest lobbies that McCain has always accepted gifts and donations from and for whom he has regularly worked their interests in Congress. As soon as the Iseman story is out of the news cycle the MSM will swing right into the characters in the back story, and there are shady characters indeed, Paxton, the Dolans of Long Island (owners of Cablevision, MSG), Muni bond underwriters, Clear Channel Communications, etc.

Exactly right.

What I also see is a collosal effort to misdirect the attention of the main body of voters on both sides of the isle.

The left panders to the whacked out leftist that wants the U.S. to be the U.S.S.R.

The right panders to the cosnervative who wants the nation to return to the founding principles.

Both parties are instead determined to turn the U.S. into the model the United Nations wants it to be.

We’re well on our way to a globalist society something akin to Orwell’s “1984” model, continential governances where individual states have no power, and the United Nations rules the roost.

It’s been a long time since I read the book, but wasn’t there a Pan Asian power, a Pan Americas power and a Pan European Power? It seems I remember that scenario.

The U.N. concept in this might be a little shakey, but that is the reality that confronts us IMO.

Why all this ‘borders mean nothing’ talk? Why all this talk of multi-nation security with lowered borders talk? Why all the talk about North American and American Union talk? Why flood the U.S. with so many foreign nationals with no loyalty to the United States?

Both parties are playing along while the rank and file consoles themselves that they are just one leader away from realizing their perfect world. Ain’t gonna happen...

Both parties are U.N. driven IMO. Perhaps CFR and other groups play into it, but that’s where we’re drifting IMO.

This was the plan all along. Build him up, get the nomination, then destroy him for either Obama or Hillary. They were NEVER going to support a Republican.

I've predicted it all along.

Check out this post

Check out this post too.

Just for starters.

In comparing to Schwarzenegger, I meant only that there was a similarity of campaign tactics and how they are/will try to bury the story without addressing the most serious part of the allegations. Hannity's whines were predictable. Bennett&Bennett, Buchanan, and Bozell were all teed up and ready to sing from the same songbook. Some of the same shills that were on FR (under different screennames) are here saying the same things now that they said then. I'm already seeing freepers claim "the NYT story has been totally debunked." Same ol', same ol'.

I think you're right about the backstory, and the dump to come. I've looked into the Cablevision deal and it stunk to high heaven. Not sure about Paxson. Others have pointed out other land-swap deals with some old Keating associates. If McCain thought he had the media lovin' him, he really is the dope I believe him to be. He's going to feel the love, soon.

Yep! A derivation of 3-card monty--keep ya looking the other way.

Both parties are instead determined to turn the U.S. into the model the United Nations wants it to be.

I think this would explain McCain jumping on the environmental bandwagon. Much of this agenda will be accomplished through things like global warming agreemensts, LOST, etc. McCain is fully on board. Sadly, all those who weren't on board were eliminated from the election a while back.

These are the main reasons while I’ll never vote for him. He isn’t just bad, he’s not pulling for the home team. In essence very few are these days, if anyone when you get right down to it.

You and me both. I’ve seen the damage that can be done by an executive(R) that plays for the other team. Given that all candidates share he same agenda, I want to be on the team that will actually put up fierce opposition to this amnesty and envirowhacko nonsense. That team does not include McCain.

Proven leadership? More like demonstrated obesity in the face of military service. Why don’t you find a real leader and get back to us.
