actually what KIND of doctorats?

MD?
JD?

or just PhDs?

Many PhDs are irrelevant.

Doctorate of Feminist studies?
Doctorate of basket weaving?
Doctorate of intigrated fluidic compression dispusement? (keg party organizer)

Modern universities have too many irrelivant PhDs that are ONLY for left wing commies.

I’ve known quite a few English PhDs over the years and at the very least they know their subject. At least in English you have a bases (text) whereas something like Sociology...

The trouble is, often times, their subject is frivolous at best. Far from studying Chaucer, Shakespeare, the Romantic poets, etc., too many of them do their theses on the works of Amiri Baraka, Curt Vonnegut, and the like. A bigger waste of time, mental energy, and academic resources I can not imagine.

InsideHigherEd reports on a survey of “22,562 full-time college and university faculty members at 372 four-year colleges and universities nationwide.” When asked to state their political views, professors responded:

Far left— 8.8%
Liberal— 47.0%
Middle of the Road— 28.4%
Conservative— 15.2%
Far right— 0.7%

Middle of the Road— 28.4%

Bear in mind that most of this group are probably Liberals who see Liberalism itself as a "Middle of the Road" philosophy.

Conservative— 15.2%

These folks might see themselves as "Conservative" only because they've been convinced that they are by colleagues further to the Left than they are.

More interesting and informative are studies showing college/university faculty voting patterns and policy-specific breakouts.
