5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has uncovered information on the driver of the van that hit the school bus.
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has learned through state license records and state staff that the driver of the van does not have a valid driver's license.
Alianiss Morales, of Motevideo, was convicted of driving without a license two years ago, according to police and Chippewa County Court administration staff.
Morales was pulled over, according to the clerk of court's office, after a report of an an erratic driver. The officer found she was driving in Motevideo without a license.
The Minnesota State Patrol will be working with the National Transportation Safety Board to try and determine a cause for the crash. Investigators have been at the scene Wednesday and they plan to inspect all the vehicles involved and conduct interviews with students who were on the bus.
Morales, 23, remains at the hospital.
Two brothers and the daughter of a teacher were among four children killed in Minnesota's worst school bus crash in at least two decades.

The liberals in Mn. blamed the bridge collapse on not enough tax increases. So we can blame them for blocking laws that could prevent this.
This certainly sounds like illegals to me too. But nothing is going to happen because we all are altruists.
No wonder this story isn’t getting any airplay.
From your link, the driver has a job at a Jenny O plant in Montevideo.
Apparently, Jenny-O hires 5000 illegals in their plants. Just another reason to switch from them.
I used to get their turkey sausage and burgers all the time. Now instead I get 95% lean ground beef for burgers from the butcher. It's leaner than turkey, fresh, less water, natural and is actual beef.
You can also buy organic/natural chicken sausage for about the same price as non-organic/artificial JO turkey sausage.
Sorry about the double post. My coffee was still brewing.
Van Driver Had No Valid License?
According to court records, 23-year-old Alianiss Nunez Morales of Montevideo, MN was convicted of driving without a license two years ago. Authorities wouldn't say whether they've made an attempt to contact Morales.
My God.
Driver of Van That Hit Bus Didn't Have License
...The Marshall Independent says court records show that Morales pleaded guilty in Chippewa County in 2006 to driving without a valid license.
She was driving the van that hit the school bus. You aren’t the first one to make that mistake.
I knew that. What appalled me was that the wench was in the system already. The locals caught and released.
Drivers? What about all the service industry workers? Did you see the news report about maids in hotels and how they DO NOT clean? Hilton, Disney resorts etc.? I saw the hiden camera report yesterday, and it was disgusting.
Minnesota has about a half-dozen “sanctuary cities” and that mentality is spreading like wildfire, state-wide.
Heard about it....didn’t see the report.
This was at a controlled intersection, wasn’t it? Didn’t Morales have a stop sign between her and the bus? Did she just blow through it?!
How fast does one need to be travelling to T-bone a loaded school bus and tip it over while killing four and injuring another 18 or so?
The underlying assumption on many of these threads is that illegal aliens are more likely to cause these accidents. Of course these people should have been deported the first time they were stopped. But it is worth examining whether illegal aliens are more likely to be drunk drivers and why illegal alien drunks might cause worse accidents.
Perhaps fewer of them stop driving after the first arrest since they are already breaking many laws anyway and never even had a license to begin with. Perhaps they figure they can always evade punishment by running to Mexico.
