5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has uncovered information on the driver of the van that hit the school bus.
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS has learned through state license records and state staff that the driver of the van does not have a valid driver's license.
Alianiss Morales, of Motevideo, was convicted of driving without a license two years ago, according to police and Chippewa County Court administration staff.
Morales was pulled over, according to the clerk of court's office, after a report of an an erratic driver. The officer found she was driving in Motevideo without a license.
The Minnesota State Patrol will be working with the National Transportation Safety Board to try and determine a cause for the crash. Investigators have been at the scene Wednesday and they plan to inspect all the vehicles involved and conduct interviews with students who were on the bus.
Morales, 23, remains at the hospital.
Two brothers and the daughter of a teacher were among four children killed in Minnesota's worst school bus crash in at least two decades.
The fourth victim was the son of a former teacher at Lakeview School, the small southwestern Minnesota school wracked by the crash.

Ironically, just the other day the wife and I were trying to decide what brand of chicken we would be regularly buying. I guess this clinches it. I'll be sure to let Jenny-O know why we won't be buying their products.
“License? We don’ neeed no steenkeeng license!!”
Hopefully the community will begin to heal and begin the round up process. If I was a father of one of those children I would have to be sedated...forever., because the only sanity I could ever find would come on the day that the last ILLEGAL scum sucking mexican was ripped out of this country.
You really should practice the fine art of saying what you mean and avoid “beating around the bush” with vague references. 8~) 8~(
Build the fence.”
“the CAUSE for the accident” is the illegal intruder attempting to drive a vehicle without skill or a drivers license. Next we will learn that she also did NOT have insurance.
Even if she did have insurance, I believe the insurance company can refuse to pay on the basis of no drivers license, and of providing false documents as to who she was.
I would like to suggest Miller Amish chicken but I just checked their website and looked at their gallery of pictures and I am no so sure anymore.
