[history]
Early in Senator John McCains first run for the White House eight years ago, waves of anxiety swept through his small circle of advisers.
A female lobbyist had been turning up with him at fund-raisers, in his offices and aboard a clients corporate jet. Convinced the relationship had become romantic, some of his top advisers intervened to protect the candidate from himself instructing staff members to block the womans access, privately warning her away and repeatedly confronting him, several people involved in the campaign said on the condition of anonymity.
When news organizations reported that Mr. McCain had written letters to government regulators on behalf of the lobbyists clients, the former campaign associates said, some aides feared for a time that attention would fall on her involvement.
Mr. McCain, 71, and the lobbyist, Vicki Iseman, 40, both say they never had a romantic relationship.

What a unfair hit job on McCain. This is old news, why bring it up now. The more the NYT does stories like this the more they look like they are a pulpit for the far left.

The McCain hating is making you irrational.
There are no perfect Repub candidates .
But the alternative are radical socialist that really hate this country.
OBama platform is radical wealth redistribution , anti- military, pro fairness doctrine , pro abortion, pro- partial borht abortion , socialized medicine , anti gun ownership.
Wake up to the radicals you are helping !

What is McCain goes ballistic while in the White House? He'll be like Harry Truman? Only without the handlers who will buffer him from actually acting on his anger. I doubt there's a prospective Chief of Staff out there with the cojones to do that.

The New Republic threatened to publish an article that the Slimes were burying this story so the Slimes published anyway even though they weren’t strong on evidence.

Team McCain on the Times Story [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
ARLINGTON, VA U.S. Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign today issued the following statement by Communications Director Jill Hazelbaker:
“It is a shame that the New York Times has lowered its standards to engage in a hit and run smear campaign. John McCain has a 24-year record of serving our country with honor and integrity. He has never violated the public trust, never done favors for special interests or lobbyists, and he will not allow a smear campaign to distract from the issues at stake in this election.
“Americans are sick and tired of this kind of gutter politics, and there is nothing in this story to suggest that John McCain has ever violated the principles that have guided his career.”

Calm down. Yes, I dislike anyone who is willing to sell out this country like McCain wants to do with his frenzied push for amnesty, open borders, and perks for illegal aliens. He even voted against the Cornyn amendment - there is no way this can be made to go away. Yet he calls me a racist.
He is nasty, uncouth, and unstable. It is general knowledge that he committed adultery. He record on POW/MIA issues speak for itself. As for pro life - his has made statement both ways. Reportedly he had the support of Republicans for Choice. Whatever, his blatant lies make it difficult to know what he stands for other than amnesty, open borders, and CFR.
Hunter, Thompson, Romney were all far superior to him. McCain is the worst possible candidate with nothing in his favor. He even appears to lack the energy and health to be POTUS.

Every sinner has a past, and every saint has a future. I only mentioned Laura Bushs past, and vaguely, because the previous post attacked Cindy McCain explicitly and quite viciously. Point still is that some body BIG TIME bailed Cindy McCain out of her legal mess. It went quietly away, but do NOT think the liberal machine will not be using it yet again.

I responded to somebody else. I know nothing about Cindy’s father. Check with the other poster. This is the first I had ever heard of mob ties.

Yes, Dante3, I couldn't believe it either, but it is a fact. A (liberal) AZ reporter did a piece on McLame...Let me try to find it...Here's one link: http://tiodt.blogspot.com/2006/12/married-to-mob.html Here's another similar piece though more of a hit piece: JOHN McCAIN, the alleged main challenger to George W. Bush for the Republican nomination, is a war "hero" we are told who was captured by the CIA-controlled North Vietnamese during the CIA-created Vietnam War. Two former Special Operations operatives and Vietnam Veterans organisations like US Veterans Dispatch have a rather different story of McCain's war record. As a politician he has viciously attacked those groups seeking justice for Vietnam veterans and prisoners of war. At the very least one must ask why a man who says he fought for "freedom" and American "values" should be involved with the kind of company he keeps. McCain is a puppet of the Phoenix-Arizona mobster network, the state he represents as a senator. To understand the background to John McCain, you need to know about the Kemper Marley organised crime network which runs Arizona. Marley was the protégé of Sam Bronfman of the major Illuminati bloodline family in North America which owns the liquor giant Seagrams and Universal Music, the biggest music company in the world. See related article on Time Warner. Marley had also been connected to what remained of the Al Capone operation. Kemper Marley, now dead, owned the Arizona liquor monopoly, United Liquor. In 1948 two employees of this "company" were jailed for federal liquor violations and one of them was Jim Hensley, the general manager, and father in law to…John McCain. Marley himself was saved from prosecution by his personal attorney, William Rehnquist, who went on to be the present Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court!! When Hensley came out of prison he was rewarded by Marley with a Budweiser distributorship, which is now in the hands of…John McCain. The last estimate I saw it was worth $200 million. When a reporter on the Arizona Republic, Don Bolles, threatened to expose the Marley rackets and the big names involved, he was murdered when a bomb exploded in his car. Bolles was wheeling and dealing with these guys and so knew the truth. His last words were: "Adamson, Emprise, the mafia." John Adamson was a hit man and Emprise was a dog track operation which changed it's name to Sportservice. It is controlled by the Kemper Marley mob. Marley, with his massive wealth and influence, controlled all the congressmen and senators in Arizona, as his successors still do. These include our "war hero", John McCain. Another Phoenix figure, the Marley-connected Charles Keating, paid John McCain $112,000 and a deal between Keating and McCain's wife involving a shopping centre, netted half a million dollars in six months. Keating has faced criminal charges for corruption. You will never be told the true background to any of this by the Arizona media, like the Arizona Republic and the Phoenix Gazette. They were started by a guy called Eugene Pullium, at the instigation of, yes, you guessed it, Kemper Marley. ...and another article: http://baltimore.craigslist.org/pol/554643221.html

And so it begins. While this makes me very sad for Cindy, these true colors of the liberal media are the only upside to McCain winning the nomination (which he hasn’t done quite yet people).

If they released this now, I would wager to say that this is the tip of the iceberg. McCain didn’t deny it. His press release just stated that he never violated the public trust.
If McCain is the nominee, I am sure the Clinton’s have mucho dirt on McCain.
Of course, they are dirty too, but they are officially Democrats.

McCain is so humble. “Our imperfect servant.” I know in my heart he is as pure as wind driven snow.
At the very least, I hope he got a good “pipe cleaning” now and then for his whackey votes.
The trips to Keatings vacation house, now thats selling yourself on the cheap. Im so glad he changed his stripes after that. Are they vertical or horizontal now?

The Republicans chose not to nominate a cult leader. If you want a communist cult leader you will just have to vote democrat.
To: John Robie
It ius kind of pathetic you believe what you read in the NYT. Did I say that? I do not believe something just because it is in the NYT. Sadly, whatever they print is reprinted around the world with NYT as a supposed source. The Baltimore Sun (dem propaganda rag), for example, has many articles from the New York Times News Service.
The DBM has the power to make something a story or to bury a story. They have spent 7 years burying good things going on in the economy. Unquestionably good things are always accompanied by "yes, but." During the administration of ex42, a positive spin was put on everything about the economy.
