Romney-Thompson or Thompson-Romney sounds good.

IIRC, McCain's lawyer is also Bill Clinton's. Or am I wrong.

Just because McCain is a shite head on Immigration doesn’t mean he deserves to be slandered in this way...if this was true for even 1 second..Romney would have found it and caned him with it..remember how ugly Fla was??

top advisers to McCain have intervened to protect McCain from himself.
What's that supposed to mean? McCain is on suicide watch?

Nothing that dramatic. Just bimbo eruption supression.

I’d like to see a picture of Cindy when she was a model.

His first wife, Carol was a model, and I *would* like to see what she looked like say in 1960 or so.

His lawyer was just on Fox, and McCain has released comments attacking the NYTs.

FWIW, that sounds like a non-denial denial to me, anyway.

I reckon I like romance as much as anyone, but there is a time to stand up and put your britches on. Looks like we are stuck with a bunch of “leaders” unable to control their impulses.

The double standard doesn’t apply here because McCain isn’t a Republican

He is NOW. At least to the MSM who fawned over him for so many years.

McCain didn’t just disagree with the base, he was downright hostile. I’ll find it very difficult to reconcile with him. Moreover, theres another part of me that doesn’t want him to pander to us out of political desperation. I agree with Rush that McCain’s strength lies in “being true to himself”, as bizarre as that sounds.

McCain is the Republican nominee and the next President.

Talk about deluding themselves, that is rich.

If they don’t pin a serious scandal on Obama, he’s going to beat McNut by 10 points. Which will be the largest landslide victory in our history (at least modern times).

What on earth makes you think a 72 year old white man who has spent his whole life since the Vietnam war as a Politician and is now for having a short fuse, is going to win the election in 2008? He makes Dole look like a power house nominee!

I had to read that statement twice and then a third time before concluding that it was not satire.

Both persons most involved say nothing happened but the Slimes found a few people willing to say something might have and they run with the story.
Iseman would have a good case for a libel suit against the Slimes. This sounds more like the hot sales lady that uses her looks to outpace the men 10 to 1 in sales. I’m sure she met other men (maybe ladies?) on the committee in order to get favorable legislation which is exactly what a good lobbyist does.

This is shamefull NYT!! You use two disillusioned former staffers speaking on condition of anonymity to alledge an affair that is not proven anywhere in the story and to rehash minor scandals that every politician has in his/her profile. When are you going to run a five page expose on Tony Rezko and the Chicago political machine from which Obama came? Now there is a scandale ripe for explanation, especially since he goes on trial in to weeks.

This is sleezy, sloppy, an unetical tabloid journalism at its best. The Fourth Estate needs to start doing its job correctly.

Then Cindy is his current wife? She doesn’t look anything like that. I guess plastic surgery is ubiquitous.
