Why would drug traffickers kill a musician whose music glorifies drug traffickers? Shouldn’t they pay him instead to lobby on their behalf?

The Mexicans hate Mexican music but cannot kill it. So they kill the singers. It’s a tragedy these singers are killed BUT.......
It’s actually quite funny these knuckle dragging gangsters bump off singers who are cozy with their knuckle dragging rivals in drug dealing. It’s a way of spitting on your rivals
