The Republicans are about to lose a second election in a row because of the war. If it is Obama v. McCain, we will truly have a choice not an echo on that issue. Perhaps out of the rubble the Repubicans will finally abandon Wilsonianism in 2010. They may have no other choice at that point.

Get a clue. The war isn't even an issue. Neither Obama nor Hillary usually even bring it up. "Wilsonianism" has nothing to do with it. It's all about having a lame candidate on our side, and on their side having a large percentage of the people wanting freebies.

Quite the contrary, the war---if suddenly something goes badly---will be the ONLY thing that can save the Republicans.

Perhaps by 2010 you will finally quit screaming your idiot Neo Isolationist dogmas and wake up to the reality that NO US President, Democrat or Republican, is ever going to be able to simply ignore the Middle East as you wish.

Pure make believe about Iraq btw. Go read the Democrats "6 for 06" plan. Iraq is no where in it. Pure revision garbage that 06 was about Iraq. NO data to back it up anywhere.

The free flow of oil from the Middle East is a vital world Economic, thus vital US National Security interest. No President is going to EVER follow your idiot dogma of Isolationism. NO ONE. If Barry Obama wins in 2008, he is suddenly going to discover that he cannot simply walk away from Iraq. He knows it, he let slip earlier in a debate he knows it. What you are hearing on the stump is the usual pandering the Democrat voters you hear from all the Democrat candidates

EVEN in the 1790s the founders were sending expeditionary forces to the Barbary Coast to protect US interests. The US has NEVER, EVER followed a "traditional non interrvetionists foreign policy".

I cannot decide which is more amusing. The total ignorance you display of all fact or the stridency which you continue, year after year, to scream this idiot Isolationist dogma.

Isolationism in a post 09-11 world is even more intellectually indefensible then it was in 1941.
