Well, “giving” 7% of our GNP away to “da po,” for a start, is utter foolishness. But he’s going to try, and if we don’t keep 40 secure conservative votes in the Senate, he may well get his way.

While Harding's death was "convenient" it seems to me that, of the little I have read, Coolidge wasn't involved in any of the scandals that would come out after Hardings death. That is I have never read anything to give me an impression that Cal would have, or even had the inkling, to be involved in a such a nefarious possibility.

I pretty much agree with the possible exception that McCain *might* be able to beat Obama.
Obama is all hyped up feelings and hope, and it hard to sustain that hype.
Particularly when it is backed by nothing at all - look at Dean.
