Fidel Castro Steps Down...
Castro’s sore point
http://www.charleston.net/news/2008/feb/18/castros_sore_point30989/
Ailing Cuban dictator Fidel Castro is taking a keen interest in the U.S. presidential elections. In August, he predicted “an apparently unbeatable ticket could be Hillary for president and Obama as her running mate.” Now, it seems, he is not so certain. What is certain is his hatred for Republican front-runner John McCain.
Castro has devoted the last three in a series of essays that he has been writing since illness forced him to hand power to his younger brother Raul Castro in July last year to an extraordinary attack on Sen. McCain. In the first article, published as usual on the front page of the official Communist Party newspaper Granma, Castro was responding to a statement Sen. McCain made when he was campaigning in Miami. Sen. McCain told Cuban exiles: “There’s a person I want you to help me find when Cuba is free, and that’s that Cuban that came to the prison camps of North Vietnam and tortured and killed my friends. We’ll get him and bring him to justice, too.”
Castro accused him of lying: “His accusations against internationalist Cuban revolutionaries ... are completely unethical.”
Well, McCain can’t be all bad, since Castro hates him so.
Whoa!
Closing tags. Wow. A blast from the past.
Regards
I thought he was gone over a year ago. What was Raul doing?
ROFLMAO
LOL!
I know...;o)
More than once I thought it was my fault, and I didn’t know html from a hole in the ground. ;o)
FRegards...
May he get what he deserves. Thy will be done, amen.
Good general purpose prayer, whether you like the guy or not. Leave it to His judgment.
Oh wow...I hope he is dead.
“Prayers up for Fidel.”
Yeah, prayers that he dies quickly and as soon as possible.
O Heavenly Father, we humbly beseech Thee that through Thy Wisdom and Infinite Grace, Thy Servant Fidel Castro may be rewarded with the Just Deserts of his Worldly Deeds.
Of course, that's just "Godspeak." He doesn't listen very well unless you couch it in those terms. In fact, Latin is the preferred medium, and the more voices that repeat the prayer, the more likely He is to take notice, being somewhat hard of hearing. But in plain English, one would simply hope that Castro gets what he deserves.
Bwa bwa bwa bwa our illustrious ICON and IDOL has exited stage left.
I’m sure hollyweird will be holding a candle-light vigil for Castro tonight.
I’m also sure MSNBC, BBC, NY Times and the rest of the liberal MSM inbetween their cryfests will be running gushing articles with lots of phrases like, “Misunderstood, good intentions, dynamic leader, deep reflection, respected by many world leaders, universal healthcare, etc, etc....”
LOL I like it, I like a lot.
Will Jimmuh personalize the casket with his new Dremel tool he got for Christmas?
It’s about time. Now, if he would hurry up and go meet his maker.
This has been in the works for some time now. Chavez has his military goons all over Cuba. Older exiles here will rejoice and some younger Cuban Americans may get revolution fever but my guess is this doesnt mean much. Bush sent several signals...as have several others to the Cuban people but so far they havent reacted. A small amount of Cubans have made some noise but no general uprising. Ladies in White and a few human rights leaders come to mind.
