I recall a conversation between a Cuban emigre and a liberal who was attempting to praise Castro as a great and visionary leader:
“Castro is like the sun,” the emigre patiently explained. “From afar he warms, but nearby he burns.”

Remember this old one?
One day Castro is given a Galapagos tortoise as a present. When told it might live for more than 100 years, Fidel sighed: “That’s the trouble with pets. You grow attached to them and then they die on you.”

is Chavez going to annex Cuba and be President for Life??

To remove any possible doubt about the views of those who seek to shape world opinion against USA, the BBC newsreader had tears in his eyes as he announced this breaking news.

Well, it’ll be interesting to see what tone the newsies take in reporting this. My guess is businesslike, but with a touch of sadness. They’ll go solemnly into the commercial afterwards.

Good news, unless Cubans will simply be forced with more of the same from his brother. My sympathy goes out for these folks, but should any family reunification be allowed, it should take place in Cuba...NOT the U.S. We must not accept a tsunami of immigrants.

This is HUGH! And SERIES!
No, really. This is intriguing in the sense it seemed like Fidel would go on in power forever until ultimately claimed by death.
Hopefully this means a positive turning of a page in Cuba's history.

The Obama campaign is so distraught over the news, they had to fly their Che Flag at half staff.

Well I guess now that Castro is gone we can give back GITMO.... /s

So, Castro has endorsed Massa Hillary and her boy, Obomba. I'll bet that warms her to the cockles cankles of her frigid heart.

About damn time. . .
Saddam Hussein, Arafat, Qaddafi, Charles Taylor, and Castro: at least five bad guys who will no longer be in power at the end of President Bush’s terms.

The only difference between the Bush haters at the DU and the Bush haters on FR is that the Bush haters here dont call him “Chimpy”, they call him “Jorge”. He saved unborn children, he lowered our taxes damned near 10% from the Clinton years and his policies are freeing millions....but he didn’t close the borders, so he’s at LEAST as bad as Castro.
