Enough with the arguments! Here is the best of both worlds, Installing Leopard on your PC in 3 easy steps! MAC will be your OS in the future, since MS can't think of anything original or better!

I’m just trying to get you to stick to the subject. Have you ever seen the beach ball spinning on your Mac? It’s a simple question even (only) Mac user should be able to answer.

[] Yes
[] No
[] I refuse to admit it and will therefore change the subject.

Thanks for the comedy line, it brightens my day. Good luck with that Macincrap.

Considering the political persuasion of most of its users the two lines might read:

Mac Owners Democrats Have Something to be Snobby About*

*a better computer political system

It's interesting that democrats are willing to spend ridiculously more for their sub-par computers just like they are willing to pay more for their sub-par social programs.

I’m still seeing those ads but less frequently than before. Did Apple rehire the twit?

I have observed similar situations.

If a person is a “true computer savvy” person then they don’t use macs or windows. They use linux or something else.

Macs are more for those who are less tech savy but want to LOOK more tech savy.

That said, I am no techno geek so I have my MS boxes for work. My business is too important to risk on emulators. It is also unjustifiable to spend extra money on essentially a very well designed pretty box.

Apple is a nice design house for hardware, but that is it.

Yes I have.

However, your rant about the “beach ball of death” is wild exaggeration.

You got it. We have a MAC from way back and it still runs beautifully. We have had two Dells and in our opinion they are not near the quality of MAC. Our next one WILL BE A MAC for sure.

I dont buy the comparison of super expensive luxury cars’ market share to market share of what amounts to a less useful computer.

How useful it is depends on how you want to use it.

I’m a new Mac owner. I was getting sick of the Windows OS and didn’t want to upgrade to Vista. Very pleased with my new Mac and I have Vista running on my Mac as well for those programs that aren’t Mac compatible. Best of both worlds in one tiny machine.

Go to your system preferences. Click on “keyboard/mouse”, then choose mouse from the little menu. You can choose either right or left button.

I use a $9.99 Targus mouse, it has r/l buttons, and a scroll wheel. I just plugged it in, and it worked, no messing with the prefs needed. All the buttons work, but I have found that the R button will download mp3’s, whereas the L button will play them.

why there is no rt. click capability on the imac? How does one get past this?

There is. Has been for many years. You can plug in your MS mouse if you want or get the better mouse from Mac.

I merely called it what other Mac users call it. They call it the “beach ball of death.” I’m not making that up.

I find it odd that a Mac can’t bring itself to show a hour glass so it puts up a spinning beach ball, this while PC users have not seen anything functionally like it on a PC in years.

The beachball means the Mac machine can not process the information quickly enough, please wait.

The movie actually showed how Jobs and Gates when on a pilgrimage to XEROX PARC (Palo Alto Research Center) and saw what was the first usable graphical interface for a microprocessor based computer.  Both Jobs and Gates went forward to develop their respective GUIs.  The difference is that Apple got sued by XEROX for infringing on their look and feel.

I guess we know who was doing the stealing now don't we.

You have that right. For years Macs have been assoiciated with academia. They are for the most part very powerful machines that have some nice features that support academia well because of the closed architecture and exclusivity. However, when compared the business world, there are so many other dynamic uses that Macs do not compare.

Dear PC Owner: I own a Mac (and I think everybody else should as well). I also have 17 different kinds of skin care product in my bathroom, go to Starbucks on a regular basis and only wear socks when I have to. My iPod has a lot of music by The Smiths and Depeche Mode. My wife had me pick out the color scheme for the new kitchen.

Dear PC Owner: I own a Mac (and I think everybody else should as well). I use soap, brew my own coffee, wear socks every day. I don't have an iPod ... I listen to CDs that I purchase from iTunes (brick and mortar stores cost too much). Those tunes are usually rock, alternative, Christian or classical (can't stand The Smiths or Depressed Mode). My kitchen color scheme is based on the way it looked when I bought the house.

I have no problem with my masculinity.

No worries.

Not your typical Mac User
