Global Warming KIlled Loch Ness Monster
Daily Record.co.uk ^ | Feb 13 2008 | Bob Dow

LEGENDARY Nessie hunter Robert Rines is giving up his search for the monster after 37 years.

The 85-year-old American will make one last trip in a bid to find the elusive beast.

After almost four decades of fruitless expeditions, he admitted: "Unfortunately, I'm running out of age."

World War II veteran Robert has devoted almost half his life to scouring Loch Ness.

He started in 1971. The following year, he watched a 25ft-long hump with the texture of elephant skin gliding through the water.

His original trip was to help another monster hunter with sonar equipment and quickly identified large moving targets.

He was smitten and returned the next year, which is when, he says: "I had the misfortune of seeing one of these things with my own eyes."

Since then, he has been obsessed with tracking down the creature with a staggering array of hi-tech equipment. It was this gear that took the famous "flipper" picture that year which created a stir around the world.

Despite having hundreds of sonar contacts over the years, the trail has since gone cold and Rines believes that Nessie may be dead, a victim of global warming.

He still wants to check almost 100 contacts on the floor of the loch, believing one may be the monster's remains.

If there is something in the loch, we would have seen it by now.

There is no "Loch Ness monster. Never was. All a hoax

How can I make such a bold statement?

Simple.

The lake is too small and too barren to support any creature the size of ole Nessie, let alone a large enough herd to continue the species.

People who truly think they have seen the mythical monster are fooled by flotsome and jetsome. Anyone else are profiting off this scam.

Let’s make a list of things that GW has not killed according to these folks.

The only things that were not killed by Global Warming were killed by George Bush before Global Warming could get to them.

If Nessie is dead I think she/he/it would have or at least parts of her/him/it would have floated to the top and washed ashore....that is assuming she/he/it was ever alive to begin with...

I can appreciate this guy Rine has devoted much of his life to looking for this creature. He’s very much dedicated to his belief but at the same time to see someone without any evidence at all determine the creature is lost to Global Warming completely forgoes the use and wisdom of the Scientific Method:

1. Observe some aspect of the universe.
2. Invent a tentative description, called a hypothesis, that is consistent with what you have observed.
3. Use the hypothesis to make predictions.
4. Test those predictions by experiments or further observations and modify the hypothesis in the light of your results.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until there are no discrepancies between theory and experiment and/or observation.

There has been absolutely no evidence that ‘Nessie’ has been done in by Global Warming, because there is no evidence to come to that conclusion without the monster.

The link for this story has been pulled. Experts say it is because of global warming.

Some guy admitted on his deathbed that he was the one who hoaxed everyone about Nessie. Well, I guess Mr. Burns drained Loch Ness and found him, but that's a cartoon.

Then why didn’t these alleged Nessies die out during the Medieval Warm Period in which vineyards could be found as far north as England but are now only as far north as France?
