They’re promising 9-12” here in Madison, WI (holding fingers 2” apart), on top of 1/4 - 1” of ice.

(ahem)

This will take our snowfall amount to something north of 90” for the year. It’s remarkable that I haven’t heard anything about global warming this winter, in spite of a goodly number of leftie greenies here.

...for the last two years Long Island, NY has only had about 10” of snow/sleet with extremely mild temperatures...almost no winter to speak of the last two years. This year has featured troughs in the mid west with ridging in the east....translation: storms run through the Eastern great lakes, west side of storm cold/snowy (Madison)...east side of storm warm/wet (Long Island).

I miss the snow on Long Island, usually get about 25” to 30” a year...My now 9 year old daughter has not been able to make a snow since she was 7 years old. Very sad.

Same here in the PNW record snowfall and rain.

I am anxious to hear about the Salmon runs this year.

The Marine Biologists were finding disease and zero populations in the last few years along our coast to N. Cali.

However the streams/rivers were also almost dry beds in the areas where the micro worm that causes spinning disease was highest.

Now with 358% over the normal snow pack we are expected to have 75 inches higher in in run off.

JMO but that could make for a healthy breeding and abundant return maybe even sending the Salmon to the now zero populated streams to mate the following year.

We will see.

So yeah Al Gorbal bite that.

What is the old 1970’s margarine commercial say:

It is not nice to full Mother Nature!
