I am so hurt that a mental giant, good conservative like you, would think that. Oh well, I guess that is the reason you put your money behind a horses ass like McCain.
Really, its almost funny. Have fun losing in November. I will be LMAO!
I see you haven’t been around here very long. I guess you still keep your account open over at DU since it’s easy enough for you to cut’n’paste your comments between the 2 forums.
Hes not saying anything untrue, yet he gets attacked here as usual.

This is a Conservative web site, try GOP.Com they have a nice blog with all sorts of Happy moderates...enjoy.
You have lost it out of disappointment over the patent fact that America is not at present a majority-conservative nation. It hasn't been for 25 years, in reality, and has survived that horrid calamity. But you are just noticing it now, and blaming the messenger.
You could just as readily have noticed it in 2000, on hearing about "compassionate conservatism", or in 2006, when Bush brought up immigration reform. But you've noticed it now, instead, and your brain exited the building.
It is easy for me to see the reality because not even Reagan in his heyday was conservative enough for *my* principles, and if I waited for someone to be as true blue as me, I'd still be waiting the day I die.
Instead, I simplest notice that realism is a virture in politics, and support the better candidate. And McCain is better than Obama, just as Bush was better than Kerry or Gore, without being a pure true blue anything. And Dole was better than Clinton, and as Bush pere was better than Clinton or Perot.
You could have had your hissy fit over any of those instead of McCain, the substance would be utterly unchanged. If you wait around for the second coming of RWR, you will wait until you are fertilizer. Which would be fine by me, it would merely make you irrelevant to national politics.
But there is no reason for real conservative republicans to follow you the slightest about any of it. Your recommended policy of helping Obama win to spite McCain is objectively suicidal, unprincipled, and harmful to the country. And it is obviously, transparently so. You haven't got a single argument on your side that any rational man would have to consider for two seconds. It is pure spite and emotion and frustration, with stuff I've put up with my entire political life.
And it isn't mature or conservative or franky even sane.
Hey, dude. I have better things to do than argue over a dirtbag like McCain.
You want to vote for him? Go ahead. I won’t.
I am not going to keep going down the road of the GOP sellout the US road. You like it? Do it.
No one who calls themself a conservative could back McCain. Just a fact. And how do you know how conservative I am? You are full of it, the more you post, the more full of it you become. How dare you qualify yourself as more conservative. You seem more like DU to me. Gawd, you people are sad. You have no courage to fight. You will accept anything and tell yourself thats the best I can do.
Sorry, do what you wish, I really don’t care.
And as for how conservative I am, that is simply a fact, a matter of record all over this site, in literally 50000 posts. It is not disputable, I am more conservative than anyone who ran for national office this election cycle. Or five before it.
Your statement that no conservative should support McCain is pure unsupported balderdash, and I am its standing refutation. I am perfectly conservative, and I support McCain, simply as better for the country than Obama is. You can deal with this patent fact, or you can't. Your not being able to deal with it will not suffice to change it.
You don't speak for conservatives, and plenty of us - an actual majority on this site, for instance - will support McCain in the general election. You have no power over us, you don't control us, you don't decide what is or isn't conservative. I am, and I support McCain, because it is the right thing to do. And you aren't a real conservative, because real conservatives don't elected socialists out of spite. I decide that, and you can bloody well face it.
It wouldn't have been that bad if more voters picked Thompson and I think even Romney, much as I'm not a fan of him, would be more competitive with Obama/Clinton than McCain or Huckabee.
“How stupid is that?”
LOL!!
Great!! That will cinch it with conservatives!!
The countryclub elites should quit while they're ahead!!
Maybe so...but we had a golden opportunity because the rats are running such weak candidates. But instead we choose the weakest and most disliked by conservatives candidate running.
Since Soros controls both parties (under your view), what are you going to do?
Maybe emigrate to a Soros-free nation?
McCain is not going to be bossed around by Soros or anyone.
I respect what many are saying about voting for McCain, and completely understand the logic. National security is any president’s foremost responsibility. Not all of us who are still skeptical about him want another attack, or want to lose the war. I just can’t stand the guy, basically, and abhor the fact that he’s crapped on a lot of principles out of pure selfishness. I deeply believe that he and Hillary are ALOT alike - both are self-serving, manipulative, egocentric, and lack character. Would he make national security decisions based on doing the right thing...or, just like any politician (and as he has done in the past) - make decisions based on politics? How concerned can he be about the security of the American people when he supports open borders?
No, a bunch of independents voted for him, and a bunch of Rinos from blue states voted for him. His wins hardly make him legitimate.
Don’t know how old you are, and how long you’ve been voting, but here’s some questions for you.
Nixon vs. McGovern. Nixon was a liberal/moderate Republican. Was McGovern a better choice?
Ford vs. Carter. Ford was pro-abort and a libera/moderate Republican. Look how much damage Carter did.
Bush 1 vs. Cliton. Bush was a moderate Republican, raised taxes, appointed Souter, allowed illegal immigration. Look how much damage Clinton did.
Bush 2 vs. Kerry. Bush has been a moderate Republican. No child left behind. Huge government spending. Open borders. Would Kerry be better?
Obama is the most hardcore Left candidate in our nation’s history. We are in a war for our survival and he will not fight it. Voting for McCain is the logical thing to do, even though we really dislike him.
They are dragging out the whips and broken glass a bit early this year. eh, indy?
He did
103 townhall meetings in New Hampshire. Lots of question and answer sessions and debating with people in his audience. Tireless hard work. in every state he had the funds to get to after wards.
No, the only logical thing to do is to stop this nonsense while we still can. IOW, bury the Republicans.
You may offer all the comparatives you like. The further to the left the Republicans slide, the further to the left the Democrats slide.
Your theory goes something like this: "The Democrats are now full fledged Marxists, but the Republicans are only Socialists, so we neeeed to get behind the Republicans."
The more we allow that slide, the more momentum it will gain, and the harder it will be to turn it to the right- Because the party of opposition, those that are to stand and fight the communists, are not. Be that due to collusion and betrayal, or appeasement, or pure stupidity is not of consequence. What matters is that it must stop, and must stop right now.
The grave danger we face is not from the Muslims, it is from the Socialists owning both sides of the aisle.
i am a true conservative and I back McCain
