WASHINGTON - Temper, temper. Republican John McCain is known for his. He's been dubbed "Senator Hothead" by more than one publication, but he's also had some success extracting his hatchet from several foreheads.
Even his Republican Senate colleagues are not spared his sharp tongue.
"F--- you," he shouted at Texas Sen. John Cornyn last year.
"Only an a------ would put together a budget like this," he told the former Budget Committee chairman, Sen. Pete Domenici, in 1999.
"I'm calling you a f------ jerk!" he once retorted to Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley.
With Cornyn, he smoothed things over quickly. The two argued during a meeting on immigration legislation; Cornyn complained that McCain seemed to parachute in during the final stages of negotiations. "F--- you. I know more about this than anyone else in the room," McCain reportedly shouted.

So, are they saying that McCain is uncivil or unstable? Have you not heard about Bill and Hillary's tempers and uncivil language, especially when you cross them? Is there any real difference?

ve you not heard about Bill and Hillary's tempers and uncivil language, especially when you cross them? I'm betting if the Republican candidate lays into an attack on Obama, Obama quickly blows his holier-than-thou above-it-all phony demeanor. He's already shown glimmers of the usual Dem hatred when he wanders off his script.

If McCain weren’t so stupid, he would’ve known better than to cater to the Liberal, drive by media.
Anyone could’ve seen this coming.
But who are we haters going to vote for?

I would rather have a McCain temper than a lying, dishonest Democrat lawyer in the whitehouse. Maybe it is time to stop supplying ammo to Moveon.org and Democrud Underground? Democrats do not care if Asian dishwashers, Thai gardeners or Mochtar Riady supplies the cash to a candidate. McCain is a better choice than either liberal lawyer Democrat.

Maybe, just maybe his sharp tongue is what we need for a change. Frankly, I think most conservatives would enjoy the Prez calling that little weasel harry reid a f-ing crook and then call the pelosi critter and ignorant c-. Both instances which of course he would be correct. ...and then inform them if you f- with the bull, you get the horn
If only he could/would do it, but McNasty sucks up to the Rats, and calls conservatives haters.

Two choices.
I decide how many choices I have.
My choice number three is *&^% it and stay home.
If the RNC tries to call me and talk me out of it I will teach them some new words.

I’m kind of warming to the idea of McCain cussing a few people. I bet he could pick up a few votes if he would cut loose on Hil/Obama in a television debate.

Every single example of his "sharp tongue" is aimed at conservatives. No thanks.

It’s laughable! McCain should call this a “sexist” attack. If it’s not a critique on MRS. Clinton’s temper, a woman, than it shouldn’t matter about his either. It’s SEXISM!

Do you really want to take that chance? Ronald Reagan was one in a million, his election to POTUS was one in a million. That set of circumstances is very unlikely to ever happen again.
If the Dems seize power, they will do everything they can to keep it. That includes the Patriot Act and the Fairness Doctrine, plus the reams of information from gov’t agencies that will be at their disposal. So, do you want HClinton/Clinton/Barry Obsama to get a potential SIXTEEN YEARS to destroy this country? I don’t.

Can you source your assertion that McCain called conservatives “haters”? The only backing I could see for that statement is a FR vanity thread where a poster was complaining that McCain SUPPORTERS called FReepers who will not vote for McCain ‘haters’ (myself I would use the phrase ‘irrationally idealistic’ or ‘over the cliff with my flag waving conservatives’).

Obama is a closet smoker. There is a danger that he may lose control and be seen puffing away in public. This would be anathema to his base. It would also be a reminder that his con man father had a substance addiction - to alcohol.

Gosh, I’ve called those guys and lots of other Congressmen those names and worse for years.
I guess I’ve been a McCain supporter all these years AND DIDN’T EVEN KNOW IT.
