Well said in one sentence. Unfortunately, most of the naysayers have not done any research. It doesn't really matter about the numbers game... 23%, 30%, or whatever as long as it is "revenue neutral"... meaning all other taxes added into the price are removed and a replacement sales tax is added at the time of purchase (built-in works).

Also, most naysayers do not realize that it is a constitutional replacement for the present income tax... it will never be an "extra" tax on a resurrected income tax.

A legitimate concern is expenditures from savings accounts where citizens have already paid income taxes to amass savings. However, I suspect this has been addressed and I am just not up-to-date on it.

I may never see it. But, I hope my grand-children live in a world without a politically manipulative income tax.

And, April 15th is really just "another day".

Apparently that is all you have ever done is “read the book” - without any research into the bill itself. Swiss cheese should be so lucky to have as many holes..

It looks like a statute to me rather than a constitutional amendment...I do not see how it would keep the income tax from being resurrected.

Just like now -- that will not change, regardless of where the money comes from, previously taxed or not, the 23%/30percent (whatever) will be included in the selling price as before --NOT ADDED ON TO IT.
