No rational person would ever consider Hanoi jane (Ted Turner’s reject) as a Republican nominee.

I would have thought the same thing about McCain, except replace "person" with "Republican". It's easy to understand why non Republicans would crossover and vote for Jane Fonda or Michael Moore or John McCain to be the Republican nominee, and in a primary campaign where a half dozen conservatives are fragmenting the legitimate conservative vote, the liberal will always be our nominee. Particularly if we have an aversion to brokering our way out of a horrible nominee during our convention.

I don’t have the numbers, but the sum of all votes cast for those considered “real” conservatives is not adequate to beat McCain. There has been no one groomed for the job. Those who have were exterminated by the leftist press.

Conservatives should be about the destruction of the media but fear the task.
