TAMPA - An arrest warrant has been issued for Charlette Marshall-Jones, the detention deputy who dumped a quadriplegic man from his wheelchair, Sheriff David Gee said late Friday.
"Miss Marshall-Jones has been made aware of the charges against her, but as of this moment has not turned herself in and we do not know her whereabouts," Gee said.

Good news...Now arrest the remaining three that was present, and force the Sherrif to resign. If the guy in the wheelchair were black, and the deputies white, the entire HSD upper officers would already be out.
Let us add, "craven coward," to the list of her better deeds. Feh.
Maybe there is more to this that we know, but I saw the video and it was horrific. I was literally sick to my stomach. If this officer did something wrong, as much respect as I have for law enforcement, she should face the consequences.

"The video, if you watch it, and you don't know her, it appears to be horrific," McElwee said. "I just think there are more facts to this story. But they're out to hang her."
Sounds like McElwee could be a FReeper. We have a lot of folks on FR who will defend the police no matter how badly they act and no matter how obvious their behaviour is on video.

Apparently, there was a second incident a few mintues later while fingerprinting that was not taped. Looks like still more to come.
I know dealing with perps must must be frustrating at times but what in the world would possess someone to do this?
This woman has done more to hurt law enforcement than any number of criminals could have done.
Because they can. How many times has something like this happened with no outside witnesses or video? Unfortunately too many in law enforcement, as well as their misguided supporters, think that punishment should begin when an officer gets involved.
Exactly. Gee finally replied to one. He is the sheriff of the butt hole that felony arrested the woman that’s father had the heart attack in the hospital parking lot and pulled her over for speeding and didn’t believe her a few months ago. Bent her over the hood handcuffing her. Supervisors stood by fingering themselves. Her accusations were true also. Now maybe David Gee’s competence will come forward.
Before this is over, Gee will come under fire. Gov Crist is already catching hell, and it’s going to slid down-hill.
This couldn’t possibly be a HATE crime because it was black on white. So, I guess Rev. Al and Jesse will marching in protest if any real action is taken against the deputy.
