If you dont think John McCain is just as dangerous in the White House as George W. Bush, think again.
Thats how retired four-star General Wesley Clark begins a fundraising e-mail sent on behalf of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
Clark, who sought the Democratic presidential nomination in the 2004 race, writes in his e-mail:
McCain will not reverse the foreign policy mistakes of George Bush. He is content to leave us in Iraq, saying itd be fine by me if we were in Iraq for another 100 years. He is rash on using military force with Iran. He overplays the military card and doesnt seem to appreciate that the real strength of the nation lies in our economy and in our values.
In seeking contributions to the DSCC for this years Senate campaign, Clark says: We have to be sure we have a Congress that will support a Democratic president but also one that, in the event of a John McCain presidency, has enough horsepower to ensure he cant continue the policies of George W. Bush.

“Must be running for Obama’s Vice President?”
That’s exactly what he’s doing. He’s a social liberal (his position on abortion is “legal until the head crowns”), and Obama will tap him to blunt any edge McCain has with his military credentials.
I’m planning on voting for McCain even though I don’t like him - mainly because the alternative of more of the HillBilly or Hussein is just not acceptable. But now that that jerk (and that’s a nice term for what I feel about this guy) has trashed McC....I’m fully behind our candidate. Hell, I’ve even signed up to work on his campaign here in Mobile!
And McCain was one of the biggest cheerleaders of Wes's adventures.
Idiot ex-general running for secretary of defense under Obama I guess.
Well, since he isn't, I suppose he's spinning in his hammock.
Powell does support more of McCain's positions on the Iraq war than he does Bush, though.
If General MacArthur knew Powell and McCain's positions on waterboarding, closing Camp Gitmo and amnesty, he'd be spinning in his grave!
He rose through the ranks during the Clinton debacle...you know the president that LOATHED the military and is a pardoned felon that dodged the draft, went to Russia and bad mouhted his own country.
THAT should tell you something about the Weasel!
Isn’t it a shame when McCain gets pounced on by Obamalamadingdong this point won’t come out? One would THINK he’d AT LEAST have averagely intelligent handlers to help him SEE this and respond accordingly!
Nope, instead of responding correctly, McCain will angrily spew some crap WHOLLY unrelated to this subject like:
“My friend, I HAVE served this great nation and was without my freedom for 5 years in Hanoi...blah blah blah...”
It’s as if only 10-15% of the population has retained any of the lessons of WW2, LET ALONE all the other wars!
A few more “endorsements” like this and I may find myself starting to like John McCain. This is probably an MSM plot but what the heck, Wes Clark is just such a bozo you have to believe that he is serious here.
However Bush was too stupid to purge the rats that infested both the state department and high level agencies in our own nation. They undermined him at every step. The democrats in the house and senate fought day and night in opposition to every move the administration made.
>>>>I don’t think this is the case at all. Bush HAS INDEED been opposed from all these goons at every turn...he spent GOBS of energies just with the dismissal of federal attorneys o don’t you remember that?!
After decades of infiltration, you don’t just fire OVER HALF of our govt! It simply doesn’t work that way! He WOULD have been impeached!
Are you for real?
No. I am a figment of your imagination.
Actually all kidding aside, I wanted an answer to the question....all I got was confrontation and idiotic posts.
LOL! Wes is a little light in the loafers, I see...
I saw it on FR a couple of times.
BTW, the cap he is wearing in the second photo belongs to someone accused of being a war criminal. That is the guy who is wearing Clarks cap.
If it had not been for that British general (I forget his name), we would have fought a war with Ivan.

Frankly only people with little to no understanding or appreciation of what our military is all about make these absurd comments and ask these ridiculous questions.
These people don’t even realize that our military bases OFTEN serve as staging errors in times of PEACETIME disasters...so if there’s another devastating earthquake in Japan, Kadena will serve as a platform to airlift supplies and medicine from ALL OVER the world.
If our own naval personnel get sick, they’re aeromedically evacuated to places just like Kadena to get more definitive treatment.
Civilians all over the world are often transported by our military to civilian facilites all over for treatment.
And that’s just a few examples!
These are usally the exact same people that whine about us not coming to the aid of people all over the globe QUICKLY enough when disaster strikes, militarily or civilian.
And the economc excuses are moot. It would be DISASTROUSLY more expensive to pull our bases out from all over the world.
For multiple reaons.
WEASEL ALERT! WEASEL ALERT! WEASEL ALERT!
There were more than a few of his fellow generals who agreed with you.
