**No McCain/Huckabee ticket**
I knew that. McCain needs to have someone extremely conservative. Barbour?? Watts?? Santorum??
Gov Pawlenty, I think.
Santorum failed to get re-elected, and has been very anti-McCain even though he was glad to have McCain’s help when he was running for re-election, so he has no chance of being chosen. I doubt a Congressman would be seen as ready to be President if something happened to the President. A conservative governor would probably make the best sense (that leaves out Huckabee).
Santorum and even I would consider voting for the POS.
Barbour would be a great choice.
Santorum couldn’t carry a conversation muchless a state.
“I knew that. McCain needs to have someone extremely conservative. Barbour?? Watts?? Santorum??’
J.C. Watts would be a good choice for two reasons:
1. He a Black
2. He is a Social Conservative
BTW - J.C. Watts is also a Southern Baptist minister.
Haley Barbour’s southern twangy twang is a turn-off for people outside of the deep south.
Rick Santorum is a great Conservative but he’s marked as a loser because he lost his Senate seat in ‘06 to a dud. I don’t think he could deliver PA.
I could go for Watts but that would seem like we were saying: “Hey, we have a black guy too.”
My Choice would be a popular conservative from a State we really need to win in November. What is Peggy Noonan’s home state?
