Romney endorses McCain - Taking away 1st Amendment Free Speech is O.K. now?

I have read alot at various sites over the past few days. I cannot believe those who still are on their "Romney honeymoon"??? Endorsing McCain to them means that he is really a great guy with character, a real team player, a real conservative who is taking one for the team. Isn't it obvious that the man has his own interest at heart and not yours? Romney and McCain fought bitterly during the primaries, Romney accuses McCain of taking away freedom of speech (does it get worse than that!), and promises to repeal McCain-Feingold when elected. See video:

Wow! Can you Romney supporters please see the endorsement for what it really is - Romney getting in on the action for himself. If you want real change, please consider another candidate instead of the same old establishment hacks manipulating your vote.
Thank you for reading.

Wow. Attacking a guy while running against him, then making nice when he wins the nomination??? Who ever heard of such a thing!

Romney’s endorsing McCain is better for the GOP (and hence the country) than Romney’s not endorsing McCain.
To: 2findtheway
It’s a perfect match. One flip flopper endorsing another.

Why read anything more into it than the Fred Thompson endorsement. Continuing the Huckleberry Hound roadshow is going to do nothing more than deplete campaign coffers further, lowering the chances of a McCain win in November from 30% to 10%.
I still don't think I can vote for McCain, but I'm reasonably sure he wouldn't be quite the disaster as Obama-Clinton.

It's all okay when a Republican destroys the Constitution. Didn't you know?

Indeed. The McCain-Feingold bill was originally titled McCain-Feingold-Thompson. And Mr. Thompson has also endorsed Mr. McCain. But this is about bashing Mitt Romney so, facts are irrelevant.

"Who did you want Romney to endorse? Hillary or Obama?"How about nobody? It is really sad that you talk about how wrong your political opponent is on the issues and then turn around in the span of a week and tell everybody to vote for him. Makes Romney seem like just another hack in politics, playing the game for future gain.

Sort of like what Reagan did after he lost to Ford in 1976. Does not mean he agrees with the things they disagreed on during the primaries. What it does mean is that he would rather see that man in than the DNC alternatives which would be much worse. Not difficult to understand and nothing nefarious or conspiratorial about it.

Well McCain called him a flip flopper but Huckabee attacked Romney for his religion.
And McCain’s stated positions are similar to Romney’s stated positions.
All in all not a surprise.

OK who’s the other candidate with the respect of all conservatives, the money to advertise a national campaign and fire in the belly to win the GOP nomination in place of McCain? Face it the time has past to take it away from McCain, and you haven’t a clue who could do it.
