WHEELING, W.Va. -- Kevin Felder and Misty Johnson aren't having a honeymoon.
They're not even spending their wedding night together.
Felder and Johnson said their "I do's" in a West Virginia court Thursday, just minutes after Felder was sentenced to up to 18 years in prison for second-degree robbery.
He wore an orange prison jumpsuit and handcuffs during the ceremony.
The judge denied the groom's request to be uncuffed, noting Felder was still in custody -- wedding or not.
The bride was in tears as officers led her new husband away. She said she loves him "that much."
As for Felder, he said he wants to be a better man when he finally gets home.
ookaaay..good luck with that honey. Pregnant?
Idiot female.
Felder took $340 during a convenience store robbery on Sept. 5, Assistant Ohio County Prosecutor Steven Vogrin said. Felder committed the robbery while he was on probation for a July 20 domestic violence offense involving Johnson, his then-girlfriend. Johnson said goodbye to Felder as he was escorted from the courtroom.
I wish the couple well, but a guy spending his honeymood in jail is sad. They should have done this after he was out of jail.
Yes and No. If it were New York, where I was a prosecutor, she’d possibly be eligible for welfare, and they WOULD be eligible for conjugal visits if he stays out of trouble in the joint.
