Nancy Pelosi’s priorities

Why was Nancy Pelosi in such a hurry to adjourn Congress and skip town without dealing with vital national security matters related to the expiration of FISA?

According to Amanda Carpenter at Townhall, the buzz is that Pelosi had her own very vital personal matter that took priority:

Her daughter Christine’s wedding.

Will Pelosi Push Off FISA for a Wedding? Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 10:35 AM The word is that House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif) will be rushing votes today because one of her daughters is getting married this Valentine's Day weekend.

A quick web search reveals that Christine Pelosi was recently engaged and staying mum on the date and location of the ceremony.

Today the House considers a FISA reauthorization bill that is set to expire on Saturday. You read more about that in my story here.

Update: The Examiner's "Yeas and Nays" wrote earlier the wedding was set for February and a friend informs me Senate Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) mentioned Pelosi's weekend wedding plans on the Senate floor this morning.

Does anybody really think that Nancy Pelosi’s lack of interest in her job would have any impact on the loony left in San Fran who voted her in to office? I would bet that 80% of them are sheep and will follow anything the Dims say or do.

God Help Us for these treasonous traitors on the left.

I wanted to see our President have the gonads to stand up to these people for so long, I don’t know why I even voted for him. Thats right it was the other choice we had to pick from. I wish he would call them back, but he will go off on his own vacation out of the country and we will be sitting here just waiting to see what kind of attack we will recieve from the moslips.

Airhead, twit, affirmative-action bossette imposing her own liberal propirities on all and claiming that her imperiousness is just due to the buildup to a daughter’s wedding - ain’t that just like a woman?

Could it also have something to do with the Senate version of the bill which gives immunity to the telecom’s for their involvement in the wiretapping?

If you follow the money, the lawyers who represent our islamic terrorists combatants, are suing the telecoms for helping the Fed’s. These same lawyers have given the Demoncrats about 1.5 mil in donations.

Exactly! The Dems are kowtowing to the trial lawyers association, playing with national security. For any paying attention this is a huge indictment of Pelosi and the Dem House leadership.
