Also, it depends on what he defines as “commonsense regulation.” He may define it as limiting the calibre available to the general public.

"I think there is an individual right to bear arms, but it's subject to commonsense regulation" like background checks, he said during a news conference.Obama was a former constitutional law instructor, and he doesn't know that the "well regulated" in the 2nd is referring to a well trained, smooth operating, miltia unit and not gun regulation and restrictions. AS though there were background checks in the 1780s. God help us!.
