The EMDH children's rights group said: "No educational project should be constructed on death."

(Unless it's death by second hand smoke or global warming)

I like Sarko, but this is lame. It will add fuel to the fire that he is a closest Zionist among the usual suspects.

Aren’t these “children” about 70-80 years old now? Based on France’s social system, the government has already adopted them.

The French get into an uproar over the dumbest things... But import millions of Muslims who end up rioting in the streets, and there is not a peep.

Instead we traumatize kids with over the top fear-mongering about global warming and teach kids they should feel guilty about having a mommie and a daddy.

I have no idea if this is good politics or not in France. Maybe Sarkozy is trying to stop the reflexive pro-Arab/anti-Israel slant that is so prevalent in France and Europe generally.

Ah. So I assume they also oppose school projects based on scary climate change predictions?

Fine, but make sure the kids have enough room to adopt another 19 victims of Communist Genocide from the last century.

France has always been a deeply anti-semitic country, even before the influx of Islamists.

There have been crimes, murders, setting on fire, brutal beatings, of Jewish young people in the very recent past. Since Sarko became President, these incidents are down 30%.

If you read through the entire article, you will see the plan is being contested by Secularists. “In a speech praising faith that also drew fire from secularists, Sarkozy told France’s Jewish community on Wednesday that every 10-year-old schoolchild should be “entrusted with the memory of a French child victim of the Holocaust”.

The proposal unleashed a storm of protest from teachers, psychologists and his political foes who said it would unfairly burden children with the guilt of previous generations and some could be traumatized by identifying with a Holocaust victim.

More than 11,100 French Jewish children were deported from France to Auschwitz and other Nazi death camps in eastern Europe during the German World War Two occupation.”

Imagine the uproar if “The Diary of Anne Frank” became required reading.

All I can say is this:

The wings of the cock (France’s unofficial national bird is the Gallic rooster) that WERE on the back of the 3rd beast in Daniel 7 are missing from the composite critter in Revelation.

And it was France that helped to sent the EU Constitution into a tailspin recently.

Of course, it is probably pure coincidence.

We have been doing it for decades with slavery victims and native American victims.

Guilt is a powerful tool.

This “controversy” really exposes the agenda of the socialist European Left.

The idea that educating children about the Holocaust would “traumatize” them flies in the face of the entire reason for remembering the Holocaust in the first place.

So it NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN.

These Euroloonies are so obsessed with blaming the Jews for everything that they fly into a furor over the idea of anything that might remind them of why Israel was created in the first place.

If it weren’t for the entrenched culture of anti-semitism in Europe, combined with the even more violent history of Muslims persecuting any and all religions, we wouldn’t have this tragedy to remember.

Giving these schoolchildren a way to personalize the horrible events of Europe’s past is the best way to prevent something similar from happening in the future.

That describes Islam and Islamic schools. Muhammad was a master of death and dealt it to many. How stupid is it to bet your life on a false prophet? When has EMDH ever protested Moooooslimb schools?

Wow. I didn't know that reading, The Diary of Anne Frank when I was a child, had left me scarred for life.

I guess the only war we can allow our children to experience would be on the order of Life is Beautiful, as opposed to say, Gulag Archipelago, or even, The Hiding Place.

Bravo for Sarko.

This is France where teaching the Holocaust is obstructed by Muslim students intent on creating the next one.

................

“In recent years, teachers have complained that some Muslim students have been so disruptive in rejecting the veracity of the Nazi slaughter of the Jews that it is impossible to teach the subject.”
