I believe it was a cocktail dress (formal wear). I’ve always wrote it off as the same as me bundling up my soiled tux and setting a mental reminder to take it to the cleaners before my next “fency dress” event.
I don’t think an intern got invited to a lot of formal parties in The Swamp.
