The enemy is the one that is taunting you with the feelings of shame. Reject those and fall fully in the mercy of your Fathers Grace. It has a lasting effect on men as well. Many of them may have been against the “choice”, but really have little or no say in it. I support all the other means being pursued to put an end to this “barbaric sacrament” - legal, political, etc. - but also realize that in the meanwhile doing what one can to “change hearts and minds” can often have concrete and tangible results. It is also being linked on some “abortion recovery”-oriented websites. Let me add a “back story” here on it, if you don’t mind. The night that I recorded it, there was a 21 year-old girl present in my friend’s studio who, although I didn’t know it at the time, had just a few days prior decided NOT to have an abortion. None of us can know how seemingly unrelated events and people can affect, influence or support each other. If I played some small part in supporting or re-inforcing her “choice for life”, I can only be humbly grateful to see some part of God’s plans unfolding around me in a tiny way.
