Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama could soon be in Lubbock.

NewsChannel 11 has learned that campaign organizers met with United Spirit Arena officials for a possible campaign rally there. Sources say, they will meet again this Friday.

We're told Obama's visit could possibly come the last week of February.

This should be amusing. The city votes in the high 70 to low 80 percent range for Pubbies.

Combine Obama’s ears and that West Texas wind and he might end up in Abilene.

That would be on a calm day. When it gets really windy, he could land in Longview.

Well you can say one thing for Obama, his internal polls must be looking good in Texas if he is able to put Lubbock on his campaign schedule.

I remember seeing Algore in the Student Center in 1984. All I can remember him saying was some pandering about some of his ancestors were early immigrants to Texas. Seems like the climate was a lot cooler back then.
