Is that why they nestle up real close to the copy machine and run extra copies?

I strictly avoid speaking to any woman whatsoever unless responding to a request or question. No good morning, or how was your vacation? or anything even close to being professionally polite. I've never been accused of anything other than being a snobby elitist. I can live with that. I've lost several bosses and valued co-workers who posessed skills that could never be found in another individual due to bogus accusations. I have also lost a few of the same who were pigs and deserved to be shown the door.

Unfortunately the idiots who run HR departments apply policies which establish accusation as the threshold needed to validate any complaint from a woman. I tried using the standard of never saying anything you wouldn't say to your grandmother, but that's no longer safe either.

It's sad.

It is sad. I’ve seen both sides of the equation, too. Been “hit on” at work to the point of nausea and finally quitting. Protesting and complaining to the perp never stopped the behavior, so I left.

And you can never say anything to anyone, even new employers, lest you be labeled a “trouble maker.”

Thankfully, I’m a grown up, and chose my career over the temporary satisfaction of sinking someone else’s.

It is sad. That’s like me saying, as a female, “I don’t associate with any male coworker unless absolutely necessary because he might sexually assault me. You just never know with men.”
