Last year, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton took the unusual step of renting out some of her lists. The transaction once again highlights the Clintons' connections to a businessman who now faces questions from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Maybe that’s where the $5 million came from.
Not only does she pimp out her daughter, she pimps out her donors.
Vin Gupta? Who would have known? The Clintons sure know how to turn a profit!
Good post, but would have been smarter to post the real headline and post more than just two sentences.
[Reports from Clinton’s campaign show that on Dec. 3, it collected payment for renting out three mailing lists, the sale of which netted them $8,225.]
Obviously there was a lot more transacted under the table since the list would be worth much more.
I downloaded one of their “business” databases from a chinese ftp site a couple years ago. It was basically only useful for some manual sales prospecting and IIRC it couldn’t be queried with a programming language without some modifications. They do have a huge customer database. It would be interesting to query myself in it.
**EXCERPT**
Reports from Clinton’s campaign show that on Dec. 3, it collected payment for renting out three mailing lists, the sale of which netted them $8,225.
It was an unusual transaction, according to Roger Craver, a liberal guru of the political direct-mail industry.
“As a general rule, a campaign will not let its donor list out into the markets until the campaign is over,” he said. “This is the mother’s milk of small-gift fundraising, and they use these lists frequently.”
There are no records that any other presidential candidates rented out mailing lists last year.

Wonder what she gets for research data from FBI files?
I didn’t think we were allowed to post more than two sentences under fair use.
Anybody Remember DEMZILLA, and how it would ASSURE the Democrats a 2000 Election victory?
And how the Clinton’s STOLE IT when Dean took over the DNC?
Well, to be fair, I did receive 2 free copies of Townhall mag this week. Wonder how they got my name?
...or Motel 6'ing the Lincoln bedroom
Well I’m shocked, I tell you, shocked, that I can’t make a confidential secret donation to Hillary. She will let others solicit me for donations. oh no...........
Ping! Say, Doug, about that strange mail you’re about to be receiving...
Interesting source for this article. So, NPR is now critiquing and bringing into question the actions of their once favorite gal. Who woulda thunkit!
Don’t remember that, but I recall the computer database that the Clintons put in place while they were in the White House to keep track of all their donors...or so they said that’s what it was for. Turns out it was much more than that. If you Google WHODB and “Big Brother,” or simply “Clinton’s White House donor database,” you’ll find a lot of links on the subject.
