The spigot of immigration at the Mexican border is being turned up all the way by a Republican administration, not only in a quest for votes but because America has adopted much of the European socialist infrastructure that requires a constant incoming immigrant population to serve as the newest recruits in the MLM scheme of programs like social security.

Very good article till I saw this nonsense. Fear of our neighbors to the south is silly. We share a common Christian faith. They have shown no desire to blow us up in pursuit of their religion.

Control the amount of immigration so you can assimilate those that come, YOU BET. Expand trade to the south, help them reform the corrupt govts. they suffer under, but don't turn our backs on them. They are not the muslims.

We should also recognize our complicity in the illegal immigration problem. If you average 1 million+ abortions a year from 1975 to 1987 (those born in 87 would be 21 now) you have 12 million babies that are not in the work force. What's the number of suspected illegals, 12 million?

Catholicism at the level of the average peon isn’t anything you’d be familiar with. Don’t expect most of them to worry about your beliefs, it isn’t going to happen.
You are seen as the gringo invader, not as a fellow Christian. Many Mexicans will side with the muslims, if it increases their chance to take you out.

Te number of illegals was estimated in the 90s, before anyone was much worried about it, as 30 million or so. I don’t think the number could be smaller than that now. Add in their unillegal children and it is probably much larger. The estimate came down as the subject heated up and politicians started to feel that heat.
