'Zionism octopus threatens Muslims' Wed, 13 Feb 2008 16:50:18
Hamas has called on the Muslim world to unite against Israel after the assassination of Imad Mughniya, a top Lebanese Hezbollah figure.
"We urge the Muslim and Arab nations to act decisively against the Zionist octopus that threatens the security of Arab and Muslim countries," Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri said on Wednesday.
Imad Mughniyah, a top commander of Hezbollah, who was killed by a car bomb in Damascus on Tuesday night, 'has been a target of the Zionists for 20 years,' Hezbollah said in a statement.
Israeli leaders have also threatened to target Hamas political leaders in the Gaza Strip. It assassinated top Hamas leaders Ahmed Yassin and Abdel Aziz al-Rantissi in Gaza in 2004.
Abu Zuhri warned Israel of 'unprecedented responses' if it carried out any assassination in Gaza.

Mughnieh murder 'Zionist gangsterism': Hamas 7 hours ago
GAZA CITY (AFP) The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas joined Hezbollah on Wednesday in accusing Israel of murdering one of the top commanders of the Lebanese Shiite movement, saying it was a "new example of Zionist gangsterism."
Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri, speaking to AFP in Gaza City, called on Arabs and Muslims to "face up to this Zionist octopus whose crimes are now passing beyond the Palestinian territories to touch the Arab and Islamic world."
Imad Mughnieh, who was head of Hezbollah's special operations unit, was wanted for his suspected role in a string of deadly attacks. He was assassinated on Tuesday night in a Damascus bombing.
In the Syrian capital, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command accused Israel's Mossad spy agency of being behind the killing.
"Imad Mughnieh was assassinated by the Zionist Mossad ... which was aware of the important status of the martyr and the privileged role he played in the jihad (holy war)," said a statement faxed to AFP.
"The Zionist murderers and their agents should know that the resistance will respond by aiming its bullets and its explosives at the leaders of Zionist terrorism and their agents," the statement added.
Initially Israel officials declined to comment on Mughnieh's killing although senior politicians welcomed news of the demise of a man they held responsible for a spate of deadly attacks on Israeli and Jewish targets.
Later however the office of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert put out ma statement formally denying any role.
"Israel rejects any attempt by terrorist organisations to attribute to it any implication in this affair," the statement said. "We have nothing else to add."
LOL!
Remember the big story about the bullets(unfired)that were shot at some house over there?
Yeah I do, and with the price of brass cased ammo, I would not mind several thousand rounds of that unfired brass cased ammo falling into my backyard ATM.. LOL
Oh the inanity!

This M@+#3&F)(*3& had more American blood on his hands, before 9/11, than any other terr. He was also the most elusive.
I hope that the loved ones of USN Diver Robert Stethem and the Marines murdered in the Beirut bombing get a little bit of closure.
And he was young. Many lives were saved.
