Sun's low magnetic activity may portend an ice age
The Canadian Space Agencys radio telescope has been reporting Flux Density Values so low they will mean a mini ice age if they continue.
Like the number of sunspots, the Flux Density Values reflect the Suns magnetic activity, which affects the rate at which the Sun radiates energy and warmth. CSA project director Ken Tapping calls the radio telescope that supplies NASA and the rest of the world with daily values of the Suns magnetic activity a stethoscope on the Sun. In this case, however, it is the doctor whose health is directly affected by the readings.
This is because when the magnetic activity is low, the Sun is dimmer, and puts out less radiant warmth. If the Sun goes into dim mode, as it has in the past, the Earth gets much colder.
Tapping, who was originally from Kent, says that Typically as you go through the ten or eleven year solar activity cycle you see the numbers go up or down. The lowest number is 64 or 68. The numbers 71 or 72 are very low, but they usually start to go up. We are at the end of a cycle, but the numbers still havent gone up. We have been joking around coffee that we may be seeing the Sun about to shut down. (To date Tapping has been far more concerned about global warming.)

That’s very true. But, such falsehood to build a tyranny will be fought with real “facts”, like .223, .357, .45 and many, many other factual numbers :)

I wish the sun's OFD were over 200 where it should be by now. I know I'm no scientist to up and decide things like this, but it may be time to actually start considering what we would call a protracted solar minimum or Dalton Minimum event. Of course, naming it after two shameless hucksters of man-made global warming has humor value, but does anyone else have any nominations?

Just for the record: high efficiency fluorescent bulbs and fans don't mix well. At least not in a smaller room they don't. The bulbs cycling at 60hz makes the shadows from the fan appear even worse.

A value of 64-68 is about as low as has been observed.
Incidentally, since I was organized today I got to see the last flux density values from yesterday: 66.1 and 66.9 respectively. Though not on my charts I'll stick with the data I've reported in previous post those were some LOW values. The lowest I've seen since I started running these threads. Just a bit of Daily Global Cooling Watch trivia.

I read this a few months ago from a different source. The difference between the two was that the other source is saying that they are concerned that the Sun has not done this since the Little Ice Age. (Where they get data from then is a mystery to me.) But they believe this to be quite prolonged and will cause Worldwide crop failures and excessively long and cold Winters, with cold and wet Summers.
But in a way, I hope so. This would quell the GoreBull Warming fanatics and the Reverend Gore will be looking for a new audience who he can B.S.

Look here: http://www.spaceandscience.net/id64.html
“Further, the solar physics group at NASA has published their own prediction of a coming deep solar minimum, what the SSRC calls a “solar hibernation.” The link below shows NASA’s prediction of when the next minimum will occur. Though the SSRC and NASA differ on the exact start (Cycle 24 vs.cycle 25, respectively), both have separately concluded that an historic low period of the sun’s activity is coming. NASA has not yet announced their correlation between the coming solar minimum and its potential impacts on the Earth’s temperatures or climate. However, because this correlation is already well established and because we have the premliminary signs of the sun’s unusually slow surface flows reported by NASA, the SSRC and other scientists, have concluded the process of changeover to the next climate era has begun.”
Please remember that this whole socialism BS got its start towards the end of the Little Ice Age as many nations were having trouble feeding people. Socialism is BS and it does require one to abandon both humility and genuine wisdom to believe in, but it is also easy to push forward as people look to someone else to do for them whatever. Even if AWG looses steam, global cooling will mandate increased awareness and involvement, not less.
Socialist and communist, like fire ants, never stop demanding to know what you are doing in their backyard and challenging your right to live without them.
