Patricia Hearst poses for a picture with her French bulldog, Diva, at the 132nd Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden in New York, Monday, Feb. 11, 2008. Diva was named Best of Opposite Sex. (AP Photo/Seth Wenig)

I like Diva, but thank God the thing about owners resembling their dogs isn’t always true.

How time flies.
I went through a stormy patch during my adolescence, but nothing like Patty's.

I’m glad she’s found a more wholesome hobby.

That’s a pretty neat breed. I just learned about them last Fall, had a nice encounter with one at a glasses shop in St. Pete Beach. He was the shop owner’s dog.

Meanwhile, the people she and her gang killed are still dead. She’s never come out and said she was sorry or tried to make any restitution, to my knowledge. Just gone back to her rich-girl life style.

I don’t believe *she* killed anybody. It started out with her being kidnapped, locked in a closet and repeatedly raped. I think I’ll give her a Stockholm Syndrome Pass on this one.

I'm not a dog person (especially bull dogs), but that dog is kinda cute.

Not one of my favorite breeds normally, but that one is beautful! Well done, judges!
And if a beagle can win for the hounds, perhaps, someday, (in my dreams), a dachsie can win.

I used to visit friends of mine who bought the house in Sullivan County where the SLA kept Patty Hearst. We were proudly shown the “Patty Hearst Memorial Closet.” (No, I didn’t sleep in it.) I loved that farm; fresh air and peace and a stone fireplace and home made raspberry bread pudding. It’s not the house as much as the people in it who make a home.
I am glad Patty Hearst has a peaceful life now.

She was the poster child for Stockholm Syndrome for awhile. The press on the other hand really wanted her to be a revolutionary. I believe she married the police detective that solved the crime.

I thought one of the stash houses was burned down in a raid.
I saw a PBS documentary on this (on a night the programming director saw fit to rehash support for a variety of 1960s and 1970s domestic terrorist groups).
