Report: Hizbullah raises alert level in southern Lebanon

Following the assassination of senior Hizbullah military commander Imad Mugniyah, the Iranian English-language television channel Press-TV reported that Hizbullah forces in southern Lebanon are on alert.

Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary-general of the militant Shiite organization, is set to make a speech during Mugniyah’s funeral in southern Beirut on Thursday, according to the Iranian Alalam television station. (Dudi Cohen)
