More than two dozens cars, trucks and big rigs became entangled in a series of collisions that brought the busy Highway 99 to a virtual standstill Monday morning.

As many as seven firetrucks rushed to the scene after the accidents were reported just after 8am.
While the Tule fog was not a major problem in urban areas, it plagued the rural valley towns throughout the morning - forcing dozens of schools to open much later than normal."

That section near the Kings River by Traver is notorious for bad fog. Prayers for the motorists!
One morning I was driving N/B on 99 from Selma in thick fog and suddenly there was a wrong way driver coming at me. Luckily she was one lane over. I’m pretty sure she got out of it ok because there was no report of a wrong way driver causing an accident. Scary stuff!
